Global Development Intern
Izzy Chung is a Summer Intern in Global Development with an emphasis on international outreach, communications, and program development at Global Minds Network.
Izzy is a rising junior at University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) where she’s majoring in Global Studies and has applied to the Entrepreneurship Minor. She is the current Vice President of Incoming Global Talent at the UCLA Local Committee of AIESEC, the world’s largest youth-run NGO and nonprofit organization. She has served as an intern at Torch Global, a global impact startup as well as an international research intern at Decker & Co, and a growth operations intern at Cloud Kitchens / Catermate. She is very passionate about social and global impact because of her volunteer experiences in Cuba and Thailand during high school. These experiences have allowed her to meet people from around the world and have exposed her to different cultures and issues that communities around the world are facing. She is always seeking out ways to become a more active member of the global community and hopes to achieve more experience in the international business field.
In her free time, Izzy loves to play basketball and is the current starting point guard for UCLA’s Women Club Basketball. She has grown up watching the Warriors and enjoys watching Steph Curry break records in the NBA. Additionally, she loves going to the beach, reading, backpacking, and painting. One of her favorite memories is backpacking across 10 countries in Europe for 7 weeks during the summer of 2019.
